The Baptistery Project / Communion, 2013

In the Baptistery Project, the temple of San Giovanni, the Florence Baptistry is used as a symbol of the
absurd process to define a solid Greek national identity. As the temple was developed through the ages by
a variety of cultural elements all claimed to be Greek, the spoon of Holy Communion becomes a bizarre
dysfunctional artifact that mimics the pattern of incorporating incompatible cultural emblems.
